Description
Bring authentic biryani flavour to your kitchen with Natur Blend Instant Biryani Mix. Designed for Chicken, Mutton, Beef or Fish, this convenient mix brings together the essential masalas, whole spices and fried garnish components needed to prepare a flavourful biryani without the need to measure multiple spices individually.
The pack contains Masala Mix, Meat/Fish Marinade, Fry Mix with a small masala sachet, Whole Spices for Rice, and Biryani Masala. You only need your choice of meat or fish, 1 kg jeerakasala rice, oil, ghee and curd.
How to Prepare
1. Soak & Marinate
Empty Packet 1 into a bowl, add 500 ml hot water and allow it to soak for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, add 4 tbsp oil and Packet 2 to 1 kg cleaned meat or fish, mix well and marinate. Wash 1 kg jeerakasala rice three times and soak for 30 minutes.
2. Cook the Masala
Heat a heavy pot and add the soaked Mix 1 along with its water. Sauté well. Once some water evaporates, add 4 tbsp oil. Add the marinated meat or fish and combine. If the gravy is too little, add up to 100 ml water. Add 100 ml curd, mix well, then add Packet 5 Biryani Masala. Check and adjust salt if required.
For chicken or fish, cook in a pot; fish should be added gently and simmered for 8–10 minutes. For beef or mutton, use a pressure cooker and cook for approximately 6–10 whistles, depending on the tenderness of the meat.
3. Cook the Rice
Heat 30 ml ghee (3 tbsp) in a pot and fry the contents of Packet 3. Remove and set aside. Mix the small biryani masala sachet inside Packet 3 into the fried mixture for use during dum.
Add 4 tbsp oil to the remaining ghee, followed by Packet 4 whole spices. Add 1½ cups of water for every cup of soaked jeerakasala rice. Once boiling, add the drained rice and salt to taste. Cover and cook on low flame for 15 minutes.
4. Dum the Biryani
Spread a layer of cooked rice over the prepared masala. Add a layer of the fried onion and raisins, followed by another layer of rice. Cover and place a thick vessel underneath. Dum on medium flame for 10 minutes.
Your biryani is ready to serve.
